Fast, beautiful, refined, innovative - the new generation of the brand-new GranTurismo is here. It rolls off the production line in three variants at the Mirafiori plant in Turin. It is available as a combustion engine with V6 biturbo & as an e-car Folgore. Its shape has been refreshed without any radical changes. The Maserati GranTurismo shows its muscles, but also its aerodynamics. A powerhouse with radiant beauty. Visually, this model is the new edition of a classic. On the inside, the new model is in a different world than its predecessor: the infotainment system and connectivity are state of the art, the rear seats can also be used by adults, and the trunk grows by 20 percent to 310 liters. The chassis of the new GranTurismo is always equipped with air suspension and variable all-wheel drive. Unquestionably most interesting is the first electric car in the range. Here, three 300 kW permanent magnet motors draw the necessary energy from a 92.5 kWh battery (net). The system output is 559 kW (760 hp). The two combustion versions Modena and Trofeo differ only in the power output of the 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno biturbo. The Modena has 490 hp (360kW) and the Trofeo 550 hp (404 kW). Configuration
Maserati now also has an all-electric version: the GranTurismo Folgore, appropriately the Italian word for lightning. It looks confusingly similar to its internal combustion siblings on the outside and inside, but in terms of performance it is clearly superior to them. Perfectly balanced weight distribution, a low center of gravity, lightning-like sprint times and a top speed of over 320 km/h, which is untypical for electric cars, make the Folgore the sportiest GranTurismo. It has smaller air intakes on the right and left of the front, and instead of the fuel filler neck sitting at the top of the left rear fender, it carries a charging port on the left at the level of the rear sill - and of course it lacks the two twin tailpipes; a large black diffuser makes the rear view sporty enough. The maximum charging power of 270 kW, which enables 100 kilometers of additional range after five minutes of charging, also makes the electric touring sports car suitable for everyday use.
The twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine is a masterpiece of engineering and produces up to 490 hp and 600 Nm at 3,000 rpm. The zero to 100 km/h lane times of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 302 km/h for the Modena are impressive. The low center of gravity and good weight distribution should ensure great agility.
