ChassisSim helps to answer the most important questions in motorsport - Why and How? The key technical questions to be consistently fast, increase efficiency and improve on-track performance.
ChassisSim's simulation tools, including lap time simulation, driver-in-the-loop, and 7-Post, use a multi-body vehicle dynamics calculation method that utilizes real-world telemetry data and transient simulations to help answer these critical questions.
Every test day with the race car means a big financial and time effort for a team. ChassisSim allows its users to perform most of the test work in advance by means of transient vehicle dynamics simulations. Changes to all parameters that affect vehicle performance can be adjusted and simulated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Since the simulated track conditions remain the same from simulation to simulation and ChassisSim always simulates a 'perfect' driver, changes in the results can be directly attributed to the different settings. This not only saves time and money, but also drastically reduces testing time by allowing a test plan to be created in advance based on the results.
ChassisSim is one of the most advanced and most accurate vehicle simulation packages. It is used worldwide for vehicle dynamic simulation and optimization in professional racing and vehicle development.
In motor sport it is not only a valuable tool for our team with the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO at the Nürburgring, but has been applied for over 20 years in a wide range of categories, from formula cars like F2, F3, Indy car or Formula E, prototype categories like LMP1 and LMP2, sports car categories like GT3, DTM, Nascar and V8 Supercars or even WRC, WTAC and Dirt Racing
In addition to lap time simulations, ChassisSim also offers
ChassisSim generates not only a lap time at the end of a lap time simulation, but also over 190 telemetry channels that can be directly compared to real telemetry data from the race car.

No models? No problem!
In order to perform meaningful simulations, the right tire, aero, track and vehicle models are required. The collection of this data requires a lot of time and money. However, ChassisSim is specialized in generating all required models from standard telemetry data.
